Dont stop believin

Just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit, he took the midnight train going anywhere.................... Where the hell did he end up? Walmart most likely, it seems like that's where everyone is. While some favor local mom and pop markets, most of us prefer paying the lowest possible price on all merchandise. The prices are nice and low, but even better than savings, are the people you see, and the debacles they find themselves in. It's no coincidence that there are websites, blogs, and videos scattered across the web chronicling the fashions and actions of America's most tasteless people. I love it. Pajamas, short shorts, short shirts, dreadlocks, pink hair. It is so easy to sit back and laugh at these people. Do they know the jeans they are wearing have a whole in the butt? How could you miss the huge BBQ stain on your plain white shirt(sleeveless of course). How about the camo shirt with the brown corduroy pants? Fantastic. Along with the fashion nightmares that all seem magnetic to only that store, are the crazy(usually illegal) activities that go on there. It is commonplace to see a man get tasered. Within the norm to witness two abnormally large women yelling and fighting over the last copy of " last action hero" in the $5 DVD bin. Sometimes when I prepare myself to step into wal mart, I pretend I am entering Narnia, because every visit is different, and extraordinary. A young and enthusiastic thomnas gallops about, and greets me as if we have been friends for years. I feel like royalty, in comparison to what I'm looking at. I try not to judge, or be rude, but in some cases I can't help but stare, or point. Don't shake your head as you read and think I'm a bad person, you do it too. It's not to stereotype when I can walk into Safeway or Fred Meyer and not see any of these weirdos. I could go into the oh so convenient and obvious reflection on poverty in America, and it's connection to wal mart shoppers. But what's the point in overanalyzing something so joyfully simple. Some people are weird, they know it and we know it. Let's enjoy it........together.
