Writers Block
Sometimes I can't think up anything to write about. I am having one of those issues currently. How do I overcome and provide my readers and myself something entertaining? Then a part of me says "ehh, I will just write something later". The procrastinator in all of us knows that "later" means never, so I am just going to ramble on for a few insignificant paragraphs, hoping to spark a topic, follow along if you want.(If not, you are going to miss some pretty great stuff). Allow me to give you a fun fact of the day: Great white sharks are found in every ocean, at every depth(Per weirdfacts.com). If you are like me and deathly afraid of sharks, this should be of great concern to you. I have made many trips to Hawaii and traveled to Florida, so I've been in the ocean before. Generally I swim in the kids area, surrounded by a large rock wall with a very small opening for water to circulate. The chances of a shark either squeezing through that opening or jumping the wall entirely are slim to none, so I feel relatively safe, (but I do have specific escape routes if it does). On one occasion I was feeling rather spry and went swimming outside the safe confines of the rock wall, on the north shore of Hawaii. I was out in the waves somewhere around 200 yards off shore. Happy and content, floating in the waves, a sudden change came over me. Slowly at first, and then the fear shot up my spine. No, I hadn't seen a shark, or any marine life form for that matter. The deep fear was derived from the simple thought that a shark could be somewhere close to me, ready to eat my deliciously tanned flesh. As unbelievable as the childlike fear i was experiencing, was the fact that I either forgot or ignored this fear long enough to swim that far out in the sea. Yeah, yeah, I realize that the odds of getting attacked by a shark are slim, but anytime someone mentions that to me I simply state this. If shark attacks are so rare, how do we have a whole week of non-stop television every year, dedicated to sharks and shark attacks. Mind blowing isn't it? I would like to eventually face my fear of sharks. A shark cage would be good, at least there is some sort of barrier between me and the man eating beast. Snorkel? uhhh I don't quite know if i'm ready for that. Although there is no real point to all of this, now you all know what I fear, so there you go. Well that's it for this post. Hope it was somewhat readable. If anyone read it.
