Next generation.
The presidential fitness challenge. Anyone remember what that is? The exact details are a little fuzzy for me being that it's been 12 or so years since I dominated the challenge myself. It is a strenuous portion of physical education class that is designed to challenge children to perform at the best possible level they can, and monitor results. If your thinking to yourself, "Can my child participate in this fantastic program?" The answer is no, because it has been phased out in most schools. Although limited testing still takes place, the standards are drastically decreased. Why the reduction? Present day children simply cannot adequatly perform even the most simple physical tasks. As a young person I enjoyed playing outside, making mischief, and playing sports. Kids now a days only want to play video games, and have everything handed to them on a silver platter. I have no idea what has changed. Our youth have traded soccer balls for Xboxs. Swapped hard work for iPhones(I love iPhones, but I'm an adult so deal with it, if I would have had an iPhone in school I wouldn't have graduated). Is it the parents? Rap music? Video games? Drugs? I don't know. Sometimes I just wish I could slap other people's children(that sounds worse than it is....... No its pretty bad). These slackers are growing up to breed young, and live with their parents, and the kids they are having are doing the same thing. One would think that natural selection would weed these folks out, but the government won't let that happen. Poor life choices are rewarded with state or federal assistance. The more lazy you are, the better help you receive. This cycle is a slap in the face to hard working contributors to society. Uh oh Dan is ranting again..........
